Suffering From Anxiety? Say No To Stress And Regain Control Of Your Life!

Anyone can easily be overwhelmed by stress. While some stress in necessary and unavoidable, if not kept in check or relieved in some way your stress can and will lead to anxiety.

There are a great number of causes of stress. It is a very perceptual thing. What causes stress for one person does not necessarily cause stress for a different person. One cause that looks to be on a lot of sufferer's lists is finances. In particular when they're experiencing money issues. It is very common for anyone to feel anxious when they're in debt.

So, if you need to preclude the anxiety linked with financial stress, don't go into debt. Unfortunately this bit of advice is too late for countless people that have mounting debt and escalating anxiety. Here's what you can do for starters. Set up a budget. Yes, the feared "b" word. In this budget you will include principal expenses with one addendum - an emergency fund.

You will be able to pay off your debt faster and become aware of a dwindling of the anxiety levels, if you stick to that budget. Imagine the relief and the overwhelming sense of pride once all your debt is gone. Not to mention the absence of the anxiety.

Another cause of stress is working too much. Both you and your family can suffer due to the extended hours at work.

Set up some rules regarding your work to help modify this. During the time at work leave your personal life at the elevator bank. Pick it up when you exit and vice versa. When you leave work don't take any part with you. Make it a rule not to think about work outside of the workplace. When you're with your family, give them your exclusive attention. They merit it.

Another stressor for may people is their inability to say "no". It can be quite stressful to say yes to everyone who asks for your help. When you say yes to too many individuals who ask, you end up not taking care of yourself. It's fine to say no now and again. Help others when you are able, but don't go overboard.

Restrict your assistance to one person at a time. Be careful of those that are abusive in their demands for help. Family and friends especially. Teach them to aid themselves. It is perfectly OK to expect something from them in return. That will also empower the soul you are serving.

Take on one problem at a time. You can easily buckle under to stress if you spread yourself too thin. It's fine to recognize your limitations. Don't over extend yourself.

There are many things that cause stress. Take inventory of your life and see where your stress originates from. Then take decisive action to reduce that stress. You may have to modify some habits, you may even have to change how you respond to things. Reducing your level of stress should take priority in your life.
